Lil Mama Set To Play Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes in Biopic

Image

We haven’t heard many lyrics from rapper Lil Mama lately but we will see her on TV in the near future. No, I am not talking America’s Best Dance Crew but a TLC biopic.

23 year-old Naitia ‘Lil Mama’ Kirkland, has officially been cast as Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes, the fallen member of the legendary R&B girl group TLC in a VH1 biopic. The biopic is currently in pre-production but there is no release date as of yet.

Rap legend MC Lyte couldn’t keep the secret in and spoke with reporters about the film while on the red carpet for the VIBE Impact Awards. “I don’t know if I’m supposed to say, but I will,” she said to reporters. “She just got the role of Left Eye in TLC’s new movie.” MC Lyte also revealed that her and the young rapper are working on  an upcoming female rappers’ collaboration record.

Looks like 2013 will be a big year for Lil Mama!

Draya Michele Talks Fine Ass Girls Launch With Vh1

FineAssGirls-1354979194At the Basketball Wives L.A. reunion show, Vh1 spoke with Draya Michele about the launch of her new clothing line Fine Ass Girls, a line for ladies who are “stylish, classy, beautiful and educated.”

I just wanted to start something that could motivate girls. It’s like a confidence booster. I’m lucky enough to hang around really good people, I have really amazing friends, and they’re also really beautiful and we take a lot of pride in looking how we look. We’re just trying to be all-around good people, so it’s just a movement for empowerment.

Draya is still riding the waves from the success of her Mint Swimwear Collection but thanks to the built up anticipation for Fine Ass Girls, I think she is more than ready to release her new fashion to the world. Looks like the Fine Ass Girl site will be fully running December 9th, just in time for holiday shopping. Until then, are you down for a tease?

VH1 Stars Do A Press Tour

A good press tour does wonders. With all the buzz surrounding VH1’s new Sunday night line up you would think a press tour was unnecessary but in my opinion a press tour never ever hurts. Chad “Ocho Cinco” Johnson, Terrrell Owens, Mo, and Kita were spotted coming out Hot 97 studios on Monday. I heard the interview with Angie Martinez and it was very funny and very interesting. After watching the first episode, I decided to dump the Ocho Cinco show but the radio interview changed my mind. Well, at least for another week. See press tours are great. I’m so sure you will be seeing the group in the media for the next couple of weeks.
