Nicki Minaj is adding a new shade of color to her signature look. MAC Viva Glam helped Nicki brand her pink lips with Pink Friday lipstick and now the partnership is taking it purple.
MAC and Nicki Minaj just unveiled her new lavender lip color for her solo Mac Viva Glam campaign. Who ever thought Nicki would trade in her signature pink for a shade of purple? I didn’t see that coming but it’s a good way to keep us on our toes. MAC announced the news this morning on Twitter:
Going solo in 2013, @NICKIMINAJ’s next Viva Glam Lipstick avail Feb. #BARBZ, you made it trend: #LAVENDERISTHENEWPINK
The lavender shade will hit stores in February. I’m sure hit will fly off the MAC counter just like everything else Nicki puts her name on.
On top of everything else she is doing, Nicki Minaj is taking this time to push her brand new Pink Friday fragrance for the holiday season. She has done the appearances and photo shoots but what’s promotion without a commercial? Nicki released the official Pink Friday fragrance commercial and it is visually appealing just like everything else she attaches her name to. Nicki’s Pink Friday fragrance can be found now at Macy’s stores nationwide.
Pepsi slightly remixed Nicki Minaj‘s platinum selling single, “Moment 4 Life” for their new commercial. Minaj doesn’t appear in the “Live for Now” commercial until the end but the Pepsi commercial definitely wouldn’t have been the same without her.
“Live for Now,” the overarching campaign, underscores Pepsi’s attempt at re-associating itself with pop culture. The company has a lot riding on the advertisements, as its marquee beverage was recently knocked out of the No. 2 spot, behind Diet Coke (Coke remains the top soda). [SOURCE]
2012 has already proven itself to be a major year for the Platinum rapper Nicki Minaj. Within a month, Minaj has announced campaign deals with Pepsi, Adidas and now Give Back Brands on top of her other partnerships with M.A.C Cosmetics and OPI Nail Polish.
Give Back Brands and Minaj will partner to launch her first fragrance in department stores this fall. Give Back Brands LLC is the same company that is behind Justin Beiber’s popular “Someday” scent so Minaj is in good hands.
“I am so excited about my fragrance debut, and am proud to partner with Give Back Brands for such a personal project,” said the “Starships” hitmaker. “I have always been a huge fan of great fragrances; this is yet another extension of my creative expression and I can’t wait to share it with the world. I designed this scent and bottle with my Barbz in mind; I know they will love it!” [SOURCE]
Nicki Minaj is becoming a role model business woman as she will be involved in every aspect of her fragrance which includes development, packaging and advertising.
“Signing Nicki Minaj was a simple decision; her talent and extensive reach present a platform with tremendous global opportunity,” added Paul West, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Give Back Brands. “This partnership will further strengthen Give Back Brands’ portfolio of fragrances, and continues to build upon our overall vision of collaborating with top artists to create world-class products that will ultimately make a difference.” [SOURCE]
The Roman Reloaded rapper is always all over the place with her style, I can’t imagine what direction she is going to go in with this fragrance. Sweet or Spicy? I can imagine a little bit of both. Either way, I can’t wait to pick it up!
It’s no secret that Nicki Minaj is making BIG bucks. Minaj is a deal inking pro and has already signed on the dotted line for OPI, MAC, Mattel and now Pepsi.
Minaj recently signed a multimillion dollar deal with Pepsi to become the face of a new Pepsi beverage. A commercial for the new beverage will debut with the actual drink to follow within the next few months. Derek Jackson, the Glue agency chief who developed the deal said, “That’ll be a segue into a new beverage Pepsi has, called ‘Pop,’ and she’ll be the face of the brand … it’s going to be explosive.”
