Mike Posner Records “Heaven” for Sandy Hook Families

We were all devastated and heartbroken over Friday’s tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, CT. It’s hard to imagine but sadly this has become our reality. We can’t change what happened but we can honor the innocent lives lost by working everyday to become better people. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have been affected.

Since the news broke, we have all been trying to cope with the horrific event. For some, music is therapeutic and helps tremendously. Singer Mike Posner like most of the world was moved by the Sandy Hook tragedy. So moved that he recorded a song in dedication to the families of the victims in Newtown. Listen to “Heaven” below.

Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce took a break from Miami’s Art Basel festivities to enjoy the night life. Last Sunday (December 9th), Jay celebrated the launch of D’USSÉ, a “bold new expression of cognac”, at Liv nightclub. Some of the industry’s brightest including Fabolous, The Dream, Kelly Rowland, DJ Clue, Don P, Pusha T and Teyana Taylor were in attendance.  All Gold Everything rapper Trinidad James hit the stage for a performance.

Trinidad James Signs $2 Million Dollar Contract With Def Jam

It has been a fast couple of months for rapper Trinidad James. He practically came up overnight. Record labels reached out to him just as quick as the world jumped on his All Gold Everything track. Billboard broke the news and announced his $2 million dollar record deal with Def Jam.

Promo Stop: Wiz Khalifa & Tamar Braxton On Wendy Williams

Wendy’s audience was in for a special treat today when Tamar Braxton and Wiz Khalifa stopped by the show.

Tamar just debuted her new single, “Love and War” which shot to #1 on iTunes. She stopped by to perform the hit for the first time on daytime television. Tamar graced the stage and even got a couple of tears out of Wendy after she hit the high note.

Tamar left her mark on the stage and rapper Wiz Khalifa left a scent on the couch. He talked marriage, fatherhood and his new album O.N.I.F.C. with Wendy.

Evelyn Lozada Goes Naked for PETA

During her birthday bash in LA today, Basketball Wives Miami star Evelyn Lozada unveiled what everyone is calling a “cheeky” campaign ad for PETA. Evelyn’s winter themed I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur Rather campaign was shot by photographer, Drexina Nelson.

When Lozada sat down with PETA she explained that after watching footage of animals being tortured for fashion she was persuaded to bare it all for the campaign and be a voice for the animals. “You can verbalize what happens to these animals a thousand times, but when you see it, it definitely clicks in… and it did for me,” said Lozada.

Lozada definitely seems to be keeping her self busy after her messy quickie marriage. On top of being the new celebrity fitness blogger for Latina.com, she is filming the fifth season of her reality show. Her PETA partnership will featured on the show which will air this Spring.

Beyoncé Reunites With Pepsi For $50 Million Dollar Deal

Beyoncé first linked up with Pepsi back in 2001 and now the two powerhouses have reunited for what has been reported as a $50 million dollar deal. Not only does the deal include  Limited Edition Series cans but album promotion, concerts, videos and creative advertising. “Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve,” said Beyoncé . She continued, “As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity.”

Parkwood Entertainment general manager Lee Anne Callahan-Longo  revealed to the NY Times, “It’s wise for a brand like Pepsi to give an artist the ability to truly express herself, instead of just the old-school way of, ‘Do you want to be in an advertisement?’ This is much bigger.  This is, ‘How can we create something together that is truly unique?’ ”

Predictions are that the big Pepsi/Beyoncé explosion will happen around the time of her 2013 Superbowl performance. Look out for a commercial and rumored new music around that time.
