Tripe Threat, Ice Cube has partnered with artist Mark Sgarsbossa and RareInk for a new art project that will feature limited edition art pieces inspired by Ice Cube’s Music. The first of the series was unveiled yesterday. All pieces are authentic, autographed and will sold exclusively on RareInk.com.
The best part about the project is a portion from all proceeds will be donated to the Minority Aids Project (MAP). Since 1985, MAP has provided HIV support services to the community of Los Angeles County. According to RareInk.com, MAP has worked with Ice Cube for the past two decades and the relationship continues to be supportive and collaborative. MAP is grateful for his ongoing support for people living with HIV/AIDS.
The collection will include pieces with original artistic interpretations of ‘Amerikkka’s Most Wanted’ and ‘The Predator’ album covers as well as a mural piece based on his ‘It Was A Good Day’ music video.

Beyonce will release a deluxe edition of her new album “4” exclusively at Target stores. To promote the deluxe edition, Beyonce filmed a commercial highlighting the time she took away from performing and creating music and how her experiences inspired her latest album.
“4” will be on shelves Tuesday, June 28th. Many are predicting low sales and others are saying this will push Beyonce over the top. It will be interesting to see the outcome next week. Personally, Beyonce has proven that she can’t do much wrong so I don’t think she has anything to worry about.
Mommy, NBA wife and rising mogul LaLa Anthony covers the premiere issue of PYNK Magazine. Inside she discusses an offer from hit show, Basketball Wives and her being referred to as ‘the first lady of New York’.
On Basketball Wives
“I was offered a spot on the show. I turned it down. I have absolutely nothing against basketball wives, the show Basketball Wives, or anything like that. But I pride myself in being more than just a basketball wife. I understand that’s something that I am, but that’s not a title that I want to define me. I’d rather be known as a mom, a businesswoman, a producer, an actress, a TV host. I just felt like that didn’t fit who I was and where my career was trying to go.”
“I kind of laugh when people say it. It’s an honor to be called [The First Lady Of New York.] For people to even put us in the same category as Jay-Z and Beyonce — that’s just an honor in itself, but I don’t deal well with titles. To me, actions speak more than anything. It’s about being in New York now and being active, as New Yorker’s get active in the community. And getting out there and showing people what we are about outside of our businesses, with philanthropy and different things like that. That’s how you prove who you really are. You can be given a label and a title but what does that mean when there is nothing behind it? So for us, it’s about really embracing the city of New York. We kind of rushed and got here quickly, but now that we are settling in we’re starting to get out there and do some charity work and let people really see what we’re about as individuals, and as a couple.”
Marsha Ambrosius warns us of the dangers of unprotected sex in her newest video for “Late Night & Early Mornings”. The Singer has been all about the messages in her videos lately and I am loving it. Music is powerful so what better way to get issues out there. PLEASE watch the video below. It is so important to WRAP IT UP. PROTECT yourself. If you’re not looking out for you, I guarantee the next person won’t either.
